CT-128, a desktop Multiple Rate IDSL NTU, combines the Network Terminating Unit (NTU) with the multi-rate Data Service Unit (DSU) in one small delicate enclosure. It can transport data at speeds of up to 128 Kbps, full duplex, over an ordinary 2-wire telephone line. This high bandwidth availability is made possible using the ISDN U-Interface 2B1Q line coding technique, an industry standard for digital transmission on metallic facilities.
CT-128 offers flexible applications for asynchronous and synchronous transmission. It supports one data channel operating at speeds from 2.4 Kbps to 128 Kbps.
Description
When CT-128 is used for point-to-point connection, configuration and maintenance are accomplished through option switches and front panel buttons. When CT-128 is connected to FM-60 E1 Flexible Multiplexer, remote control capability is provided. That is, CT-128 can be remotely controlled by the network management system of FM-60
